4 Noble Truth & 8 Fold path of Buddha.

FOUR NOBLE TRUTH
There is suffering.
There is cause of suffering.
There is end of suffering.
There is way of ending suffering.

CAUSES OF SUFFERING
birth, disease, death.
attachment, desire, wants.
jealousy, angry.
I, Me, My.

8 FOLD PATH (ASTANGIKMARGA)
1. RIGHT VIEW/VISION (SAMYAG-DRSTI) : UNDERSTANDING
to see and understand things as they really are.
know the truth.
view -> thought ->action
4 noble truth, accept them.

2. RIGHT INTENTION (SAMYAK-SANKALPA) : THOUGHT
a commitment to cultivate the right attitude.
selfishness : resistance to the pull of desire
goodwill : resistance to feeling of anger
not to think or act cruelly, violently or aggressively.

3. RIGHT SPEECH (SAMYAG-VACA)
words can
- break or save lives
- make enemies or friends
- start war or create peace
Practice truth, speak friendly, warmly and gently, talk only when necessary

4. RIGHT ACTION (SAMYAKKARMANTA)
respect all life, consider others and the world we live in.
not to kill, steal, lie, avoid sexual misconduct, not to drug.

5. RIGHT LIVELIHOOD (SAMYAGAJIVA)
work for good of others.
avoid occupation/trade that cause suffering to oneself & others.
arms & lethal weapon, intoxicating chemical, killing animal, cheating.
do home based or community service, welfare of other.

6. RIGHT EFFORT (SAMYAGVYAYAMA)
to overcome evil that has already arisen.
to avoid evil that has not yet arisen.
to develop good not yet arisen.
to promote good that has already arisen.

7. RIGHT MINFULNESS (SAMYAKSMRTI)
means control on activities of our body & mind.
focus on what we do, what we speak, what are we going to do & speak.
develop harmony and peace by cultivating alertness of mind.
live in present not in past or future.
By meditation.

8. RIGHT CONCENTRATION (SAMYAKSAMADHI)
concentrated mind have penetration power.

MIDDLE PATH/WAY : Meaning with not too much of anything nor too little of anything.
