On the way to Namche Bazaar from Lukla |
Took lunch in Khumjung Lodge, the owner we called “Angi” was very kind.
Then we started our journey to Phakding. Took us around 3 hours to reach there. We trekked through dudhkoshi valley, crossed suspension bridge, the trail was breathtaking.
After we reached Phakding, we went up to a monastery climbing 200m, good to acclimatize. The monastery is 300 years old and was affected partly by the recent earthquake. We stayed at Tibet Guest house, owner Satyaman Tamang (Sonam) was very helpful and cheerful. pizza & dal bhaat helped omitting our hunger.

10 November : Started at around 10am after a breakfast.
Unfortunately, we took a wrong way and had had to climb about 150m straight
uphill to catch up main trail. We saw Mountain goat or Blue sheep. The final 2
hour to reach Tengboche was demanding, 10mins walk and 1 mins rest was a good
strategy.
Reached Tenboche around 3 pm. took noodles soup & plate of rice. Weather already began getting cold and foggy. Visited a popular monastery here.
Stayed at Gomba Lodge, the owner also own the bakery café, which is off course full in the tea time.
11 November : Woke up late today because of long walk yesterday. Surprised looking through the window as mountains appeared very near. Couldn’t waste time, and rushed outside to see the beautiful Ama dablam (6812m) and others mountains. Foreigners were enjoying the view, the sun, making themselves busy taking photos, so do we.

After having breakfast, we started our journey
to Phakding. Our plan was to walk the route in one day to Phakding which
normally is two days. The downhill walk made the journey easy. Had lunch and
small stop in Namche bazar.
It took us around 7 hours to reach Phakding from Tengboche. Stayed again at Tibet guest house.
Today is Laxmi Puja day of Tihar (Diwali) festival. The village was brightened with the colorful lights, flowers and Deusi Bhailo teams playing different songs and cultural dance.
Visited Reggae Bar, Liquid Bar, pool houses.
