I have briefly categorized tourism products in to four different types. They are as follows :
TYPE 1 : NATURAL TOURISM PRODUCT : Natural resource and modified by man.
Beaches, Island, Mountains, Hills, Desert, Wildlife (flora, Fauna) Caves, Glaciers, Lakes, waterfalls, rivers.
TYPE 2 : MAN MADE TOURISM PRODUCT :Museums, Casinos, theme parks, Forts, Palaces, Temples.customs and traditions, Folk dance, classical dance, Music, handicraft, fairs & festivals.
TYPE 3 : SITE BASED TOURISM PRODUCTS : When attraction is place or site.
For example : Site of Taj Mahal, Sunrise in Nagarkot.
TYPE 4 : EVENT BASED TOURISM PRODUCT : eMICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference & Events), Festival, spots, concert etc.
For example : Boudha Convention in Lumbini, Education fairs, conventions, Euro cup & World cups.
